Carly and Craig came to me last June to design their Save the Dates. She wanted me to design a Polaroid style invite using a photograph of themselves walking on a beach. Craig is in the RAF so they liked the idea of bringing in an aviation theme that would follow through in the design of the main invites.
I created a monogram of the couples initals combined with a 4 blade propellor which became the baseline of their design. I also found a flight path map that included winchester to feature as a watermark background.
The couple were really keen to be creative with their main invites and wanted to create boarding passes that would sit inside a folded paper 'container'. Carly had decided on a vintage theme with blush pink for her big day so this became the new colour scheme.
The RSVP details were put in the ticket stub area that would usually be ripped off. The flight number became their wedding date and the gate became their venue details.
When the boarding pass is removed, guests can view directions to the venue as well as a map with some cheeky drinking stops.
A second insert sits underneath the main invite which is printed double-sided to hold the Gift List poem and Accommodation details.
Carly and Craig were delighted with the results and have left a wonderful review:
'Kayleigh has recently designed our wedding invitations and save the dates for us and we couldn't be happier with the outcomes. She was brilliant at taking onboard our ideas and what we liked and turning them into a great final product. She was very creative and knew exactly what would work and what wouldn't. Kayleigh responded very quickly to any emails and helped us stick to our deadline.
I would highly recommend Kayleigh's services. We have extremely high quality invitations for an excellent price.'
I'm now working on the table plan and table names for the Redfern wedding. I look forward to showcasing the final pieces later in the year.
